Steampunk Arm

This is my second attempt at a steampunk arm.  I wanted to make something that was abit more streamlined and also something that you could remove the hand from separately – makes things easier if you’re trying to operate a camera!

It’s made of leather and brass and various found objects. It’s designed to be modular, so individual pieces can be taken off as needed. I found from experience that it became really difficult if you can to take the whole thing off in order to get your wallet out of your pocket!

The main backpack is made from a brass garden sprayer attached to an mdf shell which is overlaid with a styrene skin with various bits attached. I tried to model the colour scheme after the green paintwork you see on some victorian beam engines.
