1950s Mech

This is another mech build that is largely comprised of clear plastic baubles.

This time around I’ve gone a little 1950s-esque with the colour scheme.  I wanted to do something that might not look out of place in the Fallout universe.

I really like this teal/blue colour and have used it on several projects now. It reminds me of American cars from the 1950s.

The orange adds a really nice contrast.

I also added some internal LED lighting to give it abit of life.

The model is largely made out of clear plastic baubles which I moulded into a single shape by smoothing out the gaps with car body filler. I added cast resin pieces for detailing.

The hand was made by making a mould of a single finger and then casting up multiple copies.

The gun turrets in the chest move and can be posed. They’re held in place by magnets.
